Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your Car Stand account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains what is deleted, what may be retained, and how to submit a deletion request.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove:

• Personal Information: Name, email, phone number, profile picture
• Account Data: Login credentials, preferences, settings
• Vehicle Listings: All vehicles you have listed for sale, including photos
• Service Information: Business listings and details if you are a service provider
• Communication Data: Your chats and messages
• Activity Data: Favorites, ratings, and reviews you have written
• Identity Documents: Government-issued ID images uploaded for verification

Data That May Be Retained

For legal and operational reasons, limited data may be retained:

• Legal Compliance: Records required by law for tax, audit, or regulatory purposes
• Security: Fraud prevention records and reports involving your account
• Analytics: Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you
• Dispute Resolution: Records related to ongoing legal matters

Deletion Process

You can request account deletion through any of these methods:

Method 1: In-App Deletion

1. Open the Car Stand app and sign in
2. Go to Profile → Privacy & Security
3. Under "Data & Privacy", select Delete Account ("Excluir Conta")
4. Follow the confirmation steps

Method 2: Online Request Form

Submit the form below. You do not need the app installed to use this method.

3. We will verify your identity and process the request

Timeline and Process

What to Expect:

• Within 24 hours: Email confirmation that we received your deletion request
• Within 30 days: Verification, account closure, and removal of your data from active systems
• Within 90 days: Removal from backup systems and archives

In-app deletion takes effect immediately: your account is closed and removal of your data from active systems begins right away.

Consider these options before permanently deleting your account:

• Data Download: Request a copy of your data first by emailing privacy@carstand.app
• Privacy Settings: Adjust what other users can see in Profile → Privacy & Security
• Contact Support: Reach out to support@carstand.app to resolve any issues first

Under privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, and others), you have the right to:

• Request deletion of your personal data
• Receive confirmation when deletion is complete
